About VC Turf, a licensed turf and hardscape crew in Ventura County
Here is what to know about VC Turf: it is a California licensed contractor that installs artificial turf, concrete, and pavers for homes and businesses across Ventura County.
Built to give property owners a yard that looks good and asks for little
VC Turf started with a simple idea. Most yards in this part of California ask too much of their owners: water, mowing, weeding, and repairs, year after year. We wanted to offer the other option, a yard you can stop working on once it is finished.
So we built a company around artificial turf, concrete, pavers, putting greens, and custom hardscape, all installed by the same licensed crew. We work with homeowners, property managers, HOA boards, and commercial owners across Ventura County and the surrounding areas. Some jobs are one pet run. Others replace every square foot of lawn, driveway, and walkway on the lot. We take both. Small projects are welcome.
Every project is planned with the person who owns it. We listen to what you want the space to do, then show you the materials and layouts that get you there inside your budget. The result should hold up, use less water, and look right from the street.

Three trades, one crew, one point of contact
A lawn conversion rarely stops at the lawn. A turf lawn usually wants a paver border, and a driveway pour often comes with a planter wall. We handle all of it under one roof (see our services), so you are not lining up three contractors. Property managers and HOA boards get the same crew through our commercial and HOA work.
Artificial turf and putting greens
Lawn removal, base prep, and high-density turf for yards, pets, play areas, and putting greens. See artificial turf installation.
Concrete driveways, patios, and walkways
Reinforced concrete sized for the load it will carry, in standard, colored, or washed finishes. See concrete work.
Pavers, walls, and ground cover
Interlocking pavers, retaining and planter walls, flagstone, and decorative rock. See paver installation.
Six steps from the first call to the final walkthrough
Here is how a job moves from the first call to the last walkthrough, and why each step is there. Open any step to read why it is there.
Free on-site estimate
We come to the property, measure the space, and talk about what you want it to do. You get a written price before anyone commits.
Estimates are free, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot. Take the number home and compare it.
Options walk-through
We bring turf samples and show you the paver and concrete choices, so you can see and feel the difference, and we explain why one costs more than another.
A pet area, a play area, and a front lawn each want a different turf. If a simpler option will do the job, we will tell you so.
Demolition and haul-off
Demo day is loud and fast. We pull the old lawn, break out failed slabs, and cap or remove sprinkler lines.
The debris leaves on our trucks. You do not need to rent a dumpster or find a hauler.
Base preparation
Expect a day or more with no visible progress. That is the base rock, mesh, rebar, and edge restraints going in, and it is the part that decides whether the job lasts.
Skipping base work is the most common reason turf ripples and pavers sink. We do not skip it, even on small jobs.
Installation
Turf, concrete, and pavers each get their own crew day, and plants and drip lines go in last so nothing gets trampled.
Seams, edges, and cuts get checked before the infill goes down. Those are the spots that show if they are rushed.
Cleanup and walkthrough
We leave the site swept and walk it with you before the truck pulls out.
Cleanup comes up in our Google reviews. We treat it as part of the job, not an extra.
Good materials, a licensed crew, and a lot less water
We install artificial turf from established manufacturers, with products backed by manufacturer warranties. Pavers and concrete get the same care: materials that hold up to full sun, foot traffic, and vehicle loads, on a base built to match.
VC Turf is a California licensed contractor, CSLB #1036018. You can look that number up on the state license board's website before you hire us, and we think you should. It is the first thing to ask any contractor for.
Water is the other reason people call us. A yard that swaps thirsty lawn for turf, pavers, decomposed granite, and drip-fed native plants keeps its color all summer with a fraction of the water. We offer water-conscious, environmentally responsible options on every project.
We are based in Ventura and work across Ventura County and the surrounding coast, from the Conejo Valley to Santa Barbara. Every town we cover has its own page under service areas.
