Project gallery:
artificial turf, pavers, and concrete work in Ventura County
This project gallery shows finished artificial turf lawns, backyard putting greens, paver patios and driveways, poured concrete, and the before-and-after pairs that show what changed. The photos come from VC Turf jobs and the materials we install.
What a good install shows in a photo, and what it hides
A phone photo flatters almost any new yard. The details worth judging are smaller than the frame. On turf, look for seams you cannot find, blades brushed the same direction, and edges that stop clean against a border. On pavers, look for straight courses, tight joints, and a border that holds the field. On concrete, look for an even finish, straight control joints, and edges that meet the walk or the garage slab without a lip.
The part that decides whether a yard still looks like this in five years is not in any photo. Base rock compacted in lifts, gopher mesh under a lawn, a grade that pushes water away from the house, and a drain where the ground cannot take it all go in before the finish covers them. The before frame usually shows the problem that base work was built to fix.
Turf, greens, pavers, concrete, and full remodels
Each group opens with a note on what to look for. On any pair, switch between the frames to compare the same spot.
Artificial turf lawns
The backyard pairs show a yard before and after a turf install. In the after frames, check the edges along the fence and the patio and try to find the seam. A well-seamed lawn shows no seam. See artificial turf installation.

Putting greens
A green is built on a tighter base than a lawn so the ball rolls true, and the fringe is a different turf from the putting surface. Look at where the green meets the fringe, how the cups sit flush, and how the shape follows the yard instead of fighting it. See putting green installation.

Pavers
A paver field holds together because of the base under it and the edge restraint around it, and neither shows in a photo. What does show is the border course, joint lines that run straight across the field, and a clean meeting with the turf or the house. The before frames show the same spot before the work. See paver installation.

Concrete
Driveways and slabs read well when the finish is even and the joints are straight. Look at the control joints, the edge where new concrete meets the sidewalk or the garage, and, in the pairs, whatever the old surface looked like before the new slab went in. See concrete.

AfterWhole-yard remodels and the crew
Some jobs combine turf and pavers in one pass. The front yard set runs before, during, and after. The last two photos are the crew on site and a material delivery. See the full list of services.

Point at the frame you like. We will build from there.
Every category here has its own page with the process behind the photos. Artificial turf installation covers turf grades, base, and infill. Putting green installation covers cups, fringe, and how a green is shaped. Paver installation covers patterns, borders, and driveways, and the concrete page covers driveways, patios, walkways, and finishes. If your yard is still a thirsty lawn, lawn removal and turf conversion is the page to start on, and the services list shows everything else the crew does.
VC Turf is a California licensed contractor, CSLB #1036018, and the turf we install is backed by manufacturer warranties. When you request an estimate, mention the frame you liked and we will bring turf samples to the visit.
Bring a photo to the estimate
The estimate visit is where a photo turns into a plan. There are no prices here because the same lawn costs a different amount on flat ground than on a slope that needs a wall.
Get a free estimate on turf, pavers, or concrete
Send the estimate form or call during business hours. We will come out, measure the yard, and price the job with the materials you saw here.
